Day 2: Varanasi Sightseeing and Sarnath:- Start your day with a very peaceful and beautiful boat ride on the Ganges River to witness the sunrise and see the morning rituals performed at the ghats.
Morning (Varanasi):- Visit the famous undermentioned temples of Varanasi for darshan in the morning.
1). Kashi Vishwanath Temple: One of the Jyotirlinga dedicated to Lord Shiva.
2). Durga Temple: Also known as the Monkey Temple, revered for its goddess Durga shrine.
3). Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple: This is a temple dedicated to the god Lord Hanuman, who is revered for granting the wishes of devotees.
Afternoon (Sarnath):- In the afternoon, drive to Sarnath—the major Buddhist pilgrimage site. Visit the following:
1). Dhamek Stupa: A grand ancient stupa that marks the site of Buddha's first sermon.
2). Sarnath Museum: The Sarnath Museum is very famous for its artifacts of the period of Buddhism.
3). Ancient Ruins: Explore the archaeological remains of monasteries and stupas.
Return to Varanasi after the excursion.
Evening (Varanasi):- Spend the evening visiting Dashashwamedh Ghat to witness the Ganga Aarti.
1). Ganga Aarti: In the evening, take a glimpse of the active spiritual Aarti from the boat.
2). Local Market: After all, at last visit the local market of Varanasi, which is very famous for Banarasi sarees.
Return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
